One bit of hardware that doesn't work out of the box is the microphone input on the 3.5mm jack. It's an easy workaround though. As root, edit "''/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf''", add "''options snd-hda-intel model=dell-headset-multi''" to the end of it, and then reboot.
We no longer [link|https://knowledgebase.frame.work/en_us/officially-supported-vs-compatible-linux-distributions-ByVPFgyTs|provide official support] using the fingerprint reader with Pop OS at this time.
For fully supported fingerprint reader access, we recommend the [link|https://guides.frame.work/Guide/Ubuntu+22.10+Installation+on+the+Framework+Laptop/164?lang=en|Ubuntu] or [link|https://guides.frame.work/Guide/Fedora+37+Installation+on+the+Framework+Laptop/108?lang=en|Fedora] which have outstanding support.

After installing your OS, we recommend updating to the latest firmware ([link|https://knowledgebase.frame.work/en_us/framework-laptop-bios-releases-S1dMQt6F|11th Gen Intel Core] or [link|https://knowledgebase.frame.work/en_us/framework-laptop-bios-and-driver-releases-12th-gen-intel-core-Bkx2kosqq|12th Gen Intel Core]) to make sure the laptop is running at optimal performance and stability.
