Default Boot Device Missing or Boot Failed
“Default Boot Device Missing or Boot Failed.
Insert Recovery Media & Hit any Key. Then select ‘Boot Manager’ to choose a new Boot Device OR to Boot Recovery Media.”
This is the message that displays when I power up the Frame.work DIY laptop.
It does display the ‘Boot Manager’; however, there are no options to choose from on the manager window as yet.
DIY Laptop does not recognize/read the USB drive which contains the downloaded driver bundle and Windows10 Pro when inserted in the USB-C slot .
I have an adapter in between the USB-C and the USB drive that has the software driver bundle & Windows downloads copied to it. The Laptop does not ‘see’ this device when plugged into it.
Please advise me on how to get the laptop to boot so that I can install the software as instructed in your guides.
Thank you. PK Smith
